Form 6

Skills for Employability Pathway
Welcome to Form 6

Form 6 is a class for students who are ready to further their learning on the Skills for Employability pathway. We follow a functional curriculum focusing on the essential skills and building upon them to succeed. We use Skills Builder, which is a framework that helps young people develop essential life skills for success in the 21st century.

We will be getting out and about in the community to explore what is on offer. We will be using our developing independence skills to travel and to engage with others, feeling like a valued member of the community.

Work-related learning is at the heart of our curriculum, and we will be exploring different opportunities where we can develop our work skills in a variety of external work and volunteer placements.

Form 6 has their own snack arrangement, which involves the students visiting local supermarkets to shop and purchase items. This is payable half-termly at a cost of £2 per week. The students will be using public transport to navigate their way around the community. You can apply for a bus pass from Warrington Borough Council; please let us know if you need help getting a bus pass.
